Physical Rehabilitation Center

Share

The Physical Rehabilitation Center is located near the main campus of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute.  The 34-bed Rehabilitation Center provides acute inpatient rehabilitation services from a person centered approach.  The rehabilitation team consists of physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists, rehabilitation nurses, case managers and physicians. In collaboration with the person served, a highly individualized treatment plan is developed that focuses on potential, not limitations.

Persons, 18 years of age or older, that have experienced loss of function due to  stroke, traumatic injury, neurological disorder, amputation, hip fracture, musculoskeletal condition or debilitating illness can benefit from the collaborative approach offered at the center.  Upon completion of the rehabilitation program, the team will assist in making arrangements for equipment, medical care or other services that can enhance a return to independence!

Lawnwood Physical Rehabilitation Center is the only CARF Accredited Rehabilitation Facility on the Treasure Coast.  The CARF Accreditation means that our program has demonstrated that it meets or exceeds the professionally approved standards and practices for acute inpatient rehabilitation.

We welcome you to visit Lawnwood Physical Rehabilitation Center for a tour and to meet our team.  Please feel free to contact us at (772) 467-3906 if you need further information about our program.  For a look at our outcomes “report card”, or our patient information handbook, please select from the link(s) below.
